Mrs. Aunita Ingram Edwards, 89, transitioned from this earthly journey on Friday, January 1, 2021.
Aunita was born on April 25, 1931 in Anson County, North Carolina to Carrie I. Ingram and Gaston Ingram. A long time High Point resident, she was a faithful member of Temple Memorial Baptist Church for many years where she served as an usher and sang on the Gospel Choir. She was formerly employed with A Cleaner World until her retirement. She loved spending quality time with her family and was a wonderful mother, wife and loving friend.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by all her siblings; four sisters and two brothers.
She leaves to cherish loving memories a devoted husband of fifty-two years, Landy Edwards; daughters, Elder Joyce “Luckey” Johnson, and Phyllis Ingram Palmer; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; twenty-five great great grandchildren; Goddaughter, Renita Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loved friends.
A Graveside service will take place on Thursday, January 7th at GuilRand Memorial Park, 1550 NC62 W, High Point, NC. Public viewing times are from 1 to 6 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
