Anginette Johnson Obituary

Anginette Redfern Johnson, 66 years old of Thomasville, NC was peacefully called home to join her heavenly father on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

Life on Earth:

Anginette was born to the late William and Callie Beatrice Redfern, on May 26, 1954 in Thomasville, NC. Growing up, Anginette loved school, and graduated from Thomasville Sr. High in 1972. Anginette met and married Freddie Johnson Sr., in 1973, and of this union, two sons, Eric (Lamonte), and Freddie Jr. were born. Anginette began working for AT&T in 1979, where she continued employment at their Winston-Salem and Charlotte locations for 38 years until her retirement in 2018. Anginette was a dedicated employee to AT&T and enjoyed her job, and co-workers. Anginette enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Anginette and her husband, Freddie, spent many years traveling together to Golf Tournaments. When she was not traveling, Anginette enjoyed cooking. She especially enjoyed cooking breakfast and always had a good cup of coffee. Anginette was also an avid shopper, and enjoyed the latest fashions in scarves, shoes and pocketbooks. She loved watching sports, and sharing in conversations with her sons. At a young age, Anginette professed her faith and love of God and was a member at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in High Point, NC where she attended regularly. She served on the Usher Board and was a loyal member for many years while living in High Point. In her later years, Anginette moved to Charlotte, NC. While in Charlotte, she enjoyed spending time with her sons, grandchildren, and family, and enjoyed traveling on many vacations with them, before she began a long battle with Cancer. Anginette prayerfully and fiercely fought through many treatments and was lovingly cared for by her son and daughter-in-law until she departed this life. Anginette will be missed by many who she crossed paths with.
