On Monday, August 30, 2021, God dispatched his angels to WFBH Winston-Salem, NC to escort his son from labor to reward.
Andrea was born on May 5, 1971 in Tarboro, N.C. to Charlie Harris and Jennie Ruth Scott Harris. He was a graduate of T. Wingate Andrews High School and was employed by Sandnetta Furniture and Installation as an installer for 20 years.
In addition to his mother, Andrea was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Validia Ferguson; maternal grandmother, Catherine Scott; and paternal grandparents, Charlie Harris, Sr. and Mary Alice L. Harris.
In high school Andrea met and later married his lifelong best friend, Julia D. Harris, who will always cherish memories of him along with his children, Branyon Dockery (Whitney), Ja’Darius Dockery, Andre and Quandre Harris, Stephon Lee and Alyson Hunt; father, Charlie (CYD C.) Harris; sister, Malisha Harris; brother, Timothy Scott; special niece, Seymone Smith (Greg), seven grandchildren, longtime friends, Ray McInnis, Rob Simms and Antonio Preston, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Andrea Harris … He was one who was quick to forgive because his heart was so large. He didn’t know how to give up on people because he always believed the good in those he loved. It wasn’t until he was walked on so many times that he had no choice but to let go of those who burned a hole in his heart.
