Amanda Quick

Amanda Leshell Quick, daughter of the late Frank Quick and Harlene Wright Lloyd was born on April 1, 1961.  She departed this earthy life on May 3, 2022, to rest in the arms of Jesus Christ her Savior.

Amanda attended Northeast Middle School.  She was a formerly employed with WJ Reeves and later A Cleaner World Dry Cleaning.  Amanda loved going to church, shouting and making her joyful noise to the Lord. When her health started to decline, she still wanted to go to church and would get upset with Chemicka if she was not ready to take her.  She also loved singing Gospel Music and knew all the words.  Amanda’s favorite songs were, Deliver Me, by LeAndrea Johnson, and That’s what Jesus Did.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: two daughters, Chemicka Marshall Rhoades, and Latonya Marshall of the home; two sisters, Vivian Rivers (Johnny), and Arnetta Scott (Chris); two brothers, Mallory Quick, and Bernard Lloyd; eight grandchildren, Montley Rhodes, Travon Rhodes, Javontae Rhodes, Zipporah Wester, Carlos Rogers, Dyquavion Chatman, Kolonee McRae; three great grandchildren, KyKaih Western; nieces, Letitia Quick, Tangi Quick, Shontella Marshall, Alicia Richardson, Ashley Yapias (Jesus), Chakira Quick; six nephews, Travis Quick (Tracie), Remington Scott (Natalie), Darren Scott, Anthony Lloyd, Allen Lloyd, Bryce Lloyd; two Goddaughters, Evelyn Staggers, and Knyesha Archie; one God son, LeDrake Archie; one God grandson, Patricka Thomas ”PJ”; two special friends, Emma Jenkins, and Barbara Wall; one aunt, Sharlene Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be given on Tuesday, May10, 2022, at Friendship Holiness Church, 820 Leonard St., High Point.  The family  will receive visitors and friends from 11 to 11:30am.  The service starts at 11:30am.  Burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park.
