Alvin was born in Portland, Jamaica on November 3, 1931, to Clifford Beech and Ida Marie Josephs. His workshop in his basement was his favorite place to spend quiet times. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. When not spending time on his latest projects, he was an avid gardener and he would travel to Jamaica, England, Canada and around the United States and had many great traveling stories to share.
