Mr. Alexander Warren (Joe) 83, transitioned on Tuesday at Hospice Home at High Point.
Alexander was born to Edward and Roseanna Warren in Wallace, South Carolina on July 29, 1938. He met and married the love of his life, Lou Ella Kennedy, on July 30, 1966. They were married for 55 years. Alexander was a loving husband, and father. He had a gentle personality and most of the time had very little to say as he always put others before himself, and was liked by all who knew him. On July 3, 2004 he dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a dedicated servant until his death. He loved working and staying busy cutting grass, fixing the car, painting, or doing whatever was needed for others. He was formerly a machine operator for 43 years at Burlington Industries and High Point Chair.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons: Michael Johnson and Lamont Johnson; three sisters, Ruth Mae Harrington, Margaret Huntley and Lilly Mae Short; two brothers, Edward Warren and Roosevelt Warren.
Joe is survived by his wife, Lou Ella Warren, 10 children: Jenny Short(James), Lenora Leak, Herbert Leak, Sandra Warren King (David), Carl Johnson(Pam), Dennis Johnson (Janice), Lavonne Johnson, Michele Johnson Moore (Raynard), Rhonda Johnson Fairley (Billy), Curtis Johnson (Lemanda). 2 sisters, Gladys Livingston, and Eleanor Blocken. 1 brother, Charles Warren; a special brother-in-law, Clarence Kennedy(Rena); 33 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be given on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth St. The family will receive visitors and friends from 12:30pm to 1pm.
