It seems unfair that death should have the power to take away someone we love. When it happens the thought of never again being able to talk, laugh, comfort, or hold your loved one again can be devastating. My condolences go out to the family. As you prepare to lay your loved one to rest, may you can find comfort from your Bibles at Nahum 1:7. God is a stronghold for the distressed.

With deepest condolences to the family of Sandra Stafford Carpenter. I knew Sandra as a classmate and dormitory hall mate at NCCU. She was a nice, smart and lovely young lady. We lost touch over the years, never knowing we lived near each other during our adult lives. Sandra lived a full life with her family and her love- education. RIP.

Thank you for your kindness. Sandra had very fond memories of her days at Central. In recent years she was quick to point out the school's accolades. As an Aggie, I always had a rebuttal (lol!)

Thank you for being a part of her life.

It is very difficult to find the right words of comfort for our North Carolina family. While we are all in pain and the abrupt earthly loss of Sandra hurts our hearts, we celebrate her life. She was a true and honest teacher. She taught us to meet all adversity with strength; She taught us to stand by your word; She taught us to remain dedicated to family; She taught us to lead by example; She taught us to face fear with faith; She taught us to confront each day with the humble knowledge that how you live your life and treat others is what makes the difference; and She taught us what it means to be a Stafford. We stand on the broad shoulders of our cousin, Uncle Ray and Aunt Dot’s first born, Mary Stafford Graham’s niece, Doris Graham Hightower’s first cousin, and she will always remain an angel that we know by name.
