Dateline Thomasville

Flossie Kearns McCoy, 101, transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Spring Arbor of Thomasville.  Flossie was born on April 4, 1916 to Stella Kearns and James Massey in Randolph County, NC.  Even at her century mark, she could still get up and dance.  Mrs. McCoy loved praising God, going to church and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William McCoy, Sr., son, Jerry Edward McCoy, two grandsons, two great grandsons, and seven sisters and brothers.

Surviving relatives include sons, Richard McCoy (Ruth), and William McCoy, Jr. (Martha); daughter, Mary Rorie; daughter-in-law, Tonie McCoy; ten grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at St. Mary's United Methodist Church, 5583 Rockford Drive, Trinity.  The family will receive visitors and friends from 10:30 to 11:00 at the church on Saturday.  Burial will follow at Trinity Community Cemetery.
