High Point
Flossie McCleod Johnson, 89, a native of Fayetteville, NC who moved to High Point in 1973, was a phenomenal wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She departed this life on Friday, May 11, 2018 at her home. She was born on April 30, 1929 to Annetta Bethea and James McCleod.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Johnson; daughter, Jacqueline Johnson Titus; five brothers, and two grandsons.
She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Patricia Johnson and great grandson, Sydni Smith of the home; two sons, John Johnson (Dorothy) of Greensboro, and Samuel Johnson (Angela) of S.C.; son-in-law, Samuel Titus of High Point; brother, Lacey McCleod of Raeford; eight grandchildren, Latressa Miller (Henry), Stacy Mapp (Willie), Antwan (Tawanna), Pashonda, Yvonnia, John Jr., Noah James and Zion; eleven great grandchildren, Brytian, Darian, Jada, Jasigh, Kobe, Seth, Jayvion, Avionna, Jewel, Shiloh, and Journee; two dear friends, Annie P. Rogers, and Irene Smith; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Temple Memorial Baptist Church, 1458 Cedrow Drive. Burial will follow at Floral Gardens Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors and friends from 12:30-1 p.m. at the church and other times at the residence.
