Evelyn Ferguson Williamson, 84, died on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Guilford Health Care. Evelyn was born on August 22, 1934 to Virda Oliver Ferguson and Rev. Howard Ferguson in Danville, VA.
Mrs. Williamson who loved children and taking care of people, operated a daycare in High Point, and also worked as a registered nurse.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria H. Foster; brothers, Calvin Ferguson, Russell Ferguson, Lawrence Ferguson, and James Lewis Ferguson; 2 husbands, one of which was Paul Williamson.
Surviving relatives include a son, P. Kevin Williamson (Weltia) of High Point; daughter, Tonya M. Hamiel of Greensboro; stepson, Darryl Hayes (Gilda) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Tori, Traci, Trinity, Winter, Rasheeda, and Andria; great grandchildren, Gabriel and Giselle; a host of other relatives and special nursing school friends.
A Celebration of Life will be at 12 noon, Saturday, July 20th, at Greater First United Baptist Church, 1409 Deep River Rd. Family visitation is 11:30 to 12 noon at the church. The family will also receive visitors at the home of P. Kevin Williamson on Thursday and Friday, 6 to 9pm. They may be contacted at 910 264-4323.
