Dateline Rockingham

Mrs. Etta K. Gray Watson, 97, of Rockingham, North Carolina transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 30, 2017.  Etta was born on November 28, 1920 in Randolph County to Letha J. Coltrane Gray and Charley Belvin Gray.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by twelve siblings.

Surviving relatives include her sons, Robert Powell, St (Emma J.) of Ellerbe, North Carolina, and James B. Powell (Claudia) of Norlina, North Carolina; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Service of Victory will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Liberty Grove Methodist Church, 5581 Liberty Rd, Trinity, North Carolina.  Burial will follow at the Hopewell Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors and friends at the church on Tuesday, 11:30 to 12 noon.
