Eddie Otis Brown

Mr. Eddie Otis Brown, 71, of High Point, NC, passed away from his earthly home into his heavenly home on Monday, January 29th, 2018 at Genesis Rehabilitation Center.

Eddie was born on June 2, 1946 to Mr. David Brown and Mrs. Rosetta Peay Brown in Blythewood, South Carolina.

He attended Richland County Schools in Columbia, South Carolina. Years later, Eddie moved to High Point, NC and was employed by the Quick Family working in demolition and construction. Eddie dedicated over 25 years to his occupation where he truly exhibited great enthusiasm and pride. He showed an extreme passion and love to any job that he was assigned to. He was a grateful man, a kind-hearted man who showed love to all who knew him. He was a proud and loving father to his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hudson-Brown on December 30th, 2004. He was also preceded in death by brothers: Nathaniel Brown, Willie Brown, David Brown, Charlie Brown, Tommy Brown, Bernard Brown, and one sister, Lillie Brown-Fuller all of High Point, NC.

Surviving relatives include a son, Frederick (Linda) Brown of Ridgeway, SC; two daughters, Teresa A. Threatts of Houston, Texas; and Patricia A. Brown of Columbia, SC; a stepdaughter, Tiear F. (Andre) Williams of Elgin, SC; a stepson, Scottie L. Hudson of Needles, California; four grandchildren, Ashley, Gabrielle, Jordan and Aaron Brown; two great-grandchildren, Kamryn Michaela Alexis Marshall and Carter Pierre Brown of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by one sister, Gladys Brown-Eccles of High Point, NC; two brothers, Thomas Ernest Brown of High Point and Robert Brown of Jackson, Missouri. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth Street, High Point on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 10:00 am.
