Kernersville

Bishop Fidel Castro Martin, 58, transitioned to eternal rest on December 26, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Bishop Martin was born on June 5, 1959 to Daniel N. Martin and Lula Mae Ross Martin in Guilford County.

Bishop Martin served faithfully as Pastor of The Church of the Living God in Kernersville, NC where his wife, First Lady Rebecca Louise Burgess Martin stood by his side.

A service of celebration will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at The Church of the Living God, 7555 Happy Hill Road, Kernersville, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 on Sunday at the church. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 206 Fourth St., High Point is assisting the family. Bishop Martin will lie in repose at the Johnson & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
