Mr. Arthur H. Goss, affectionately known as “Uncle Bonk,” transitioned to his heavenly home on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the age of 84. Arthur was born December 31, 1932  to Harrison Goss and Rosa Bell Smith Goss in Randolph County, North Carolina.

Early in life, Arthur accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of  Ferree’s Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a dedicated member of the choir. He was employed by Mr. Johnny Ferree for many years and later retired from Randleman Middle School after serving twenty plus years as a custodian. During his retirement years he continued to do “odd jobs” for community and church. Arthur served as a leader for the Eagle Scout of Randleman, NC. He was a loving person, he especially enjoyed music and fishing .

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Raymond Goss, Lewis Goss and James Goss; four sisters, Juanita Greene, Dorothy Payne, Ida Mae Freeman and Thelma McNeil.

Surviving relatives include, two brothers, Austin (Reverend Arutha) Goss of Indiana and Reverend Ronald (Ulah) Goss of Randleman, NC; one sister-in-law, Bertha Goss of Asheboro, NC. four special caregivers (nieces and nephews), Kacy Goss, James “Goose” Goss, Teresa Goss and  Shannan Goss Morton; special friend, Suzanna Marshall; a host of   other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m., on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Ferree's Chapel Church, 642 S. Stout Street, Randleman, North Carolina.  The family will receive visitors and friends at the church on Sunday, 3 to 3:30p.m.
