Annette Marie (Steed) Holt

Annette Marie (Steed) Holt, 82, gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at GrayBrier Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Trinity, NC. She was born July 23, 1936 to the late Pearlie Steed and the late Anna Steed Knight. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 58 years Carlton Maurice Holt, and brother Dennis M. Steed, Sr.

Annette was a graduate of William Penn High School and was employed and retired from Creative Designs. She loved sewing, baking cakes and other sweets, and going to the beach. Her brownies will truly be missed! 

Being passionate about serving the Lord, Annette was a faithful and dedicated lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Trinity. She served her church family as a Deaconess, the Sunday School Secretary, and a member of the Senior Choir. Over the years Annette was also a member of the Missionary Circle, the Progressive Women’s Club, the Kitchen Committee and could be counted on to organize Vacation Bible School.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her daughter, Carmen M. Holt of Trinity, NC; sister, Lula Brown of Trinity, NC; brother, Harry (Faye) Steed of Trinity,NC; sister-in-law Patricia Steed of Trinity, NC; brother-in-law, Alvin Craft; aunt, Mattie Johnson; Goddaughter, LaMonica Cureton; Godson, Carson Butler; Special Friends, Benjamin & Ethel Dawkins & Family; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many treasured and trusted friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Trinity, 12504 Trinity Road, Trinity, NC. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 - 12:00 noon.
