Mr. Orlando Fairley passed away at his residence. He was born on February 27, 1970, to the late Emma Lou Patterson and James Willie Fairley.
Orlando, affectionately known as "Chubby" to his family and friends, attended High Point City Schools. He was employed at the Budd Group as a Floor Technician, where he gained a reputation for his exceptional skills, attention to detail, and unparalleled work ethic. His dedication to his job and his friendly personality earned him the respect and admiration of his co-workers.
"Chubby" was the kindest and most loving person you could ever hope to meet. He had a passion for dancing and singing. In his leisure time, he enjoyed listening to old-school music, which he found to be a great source of relaxation and inspiration. What really stood out about him was his smile. It was warm, radiant, and had a way of lighting up any room he walked into. Whether meeting someone for the first time or catching up with an old friend, his smile was a constant reminder of the joy and positivity he brought into the world.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Ann Smith.
Those left to cherish his memories: three siblings, Juanita Covington, Ms. Marisa Hussain, and Amanda Bennett; an aunt, Mrs. Dorothy Ann Campbell; special friends, Derrick Davis, Dale Hill, and Adam Dye; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Johnson & Sons, 206 Fourth Street, High Point, NC.
