Mr. Theodis Duff, Sr., 83, transitioned on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Hospice Home at High Point surrounded by his loving family.
Theodis was born on December 2, 1934 to Rufus Duff and Rosa Williams Duff in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was a graduate of William Penn High School and formerly employed as a lab technician with Alderman Studios. He had been a High Point resident for most of his adult life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Burton Duff; daughter, Mary Duff; granddaughter, Tonya Brown; brothers, Kent "Rufus" Duff and Donald Ray Duff.
Surviving relatives include sons, Robert Burton and Jerry Burton of High Point, Theodis D. Duff, (Joy M.) of Greensboro, and Mark Duff (fiancé, Linda) of High Point; eleven grandchildren including granddaughter and caregiver, Lakisha Jones; thirty-two great grandchildren; brother, Lawrence E. Duff (Hattie) of High Point; four sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be 12:30 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at First Emmanuel Baptist Church, 833 Leonard Ave. Family visitation will be 12 noon to 12:30p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens.
