Marvin Earl Washington was born in Brandon, Mississippi to Willie and Lois Washington on October 17, 1946. He departed this life on March 1, 2012.
Marvin attended Brandon School Systems. He worked at various jobs, but the one he loved the most was with Jackson State University where he worked for nineteen years. He became a soldier for Christ at an early age and fought on the Christian battlefield until the end.
Marvin leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of twenty-two years, Deitra Washington; two daughters, Sharon and Annette Washington ; brothers, Wayne (Gwendolyn) Washington, Richard (Cassandra) Washington, and Tim Washington; sister, Patsy McGee; sister-in-law, Renee LaGoy; brothers-in-law, Natheneal and B J Anderson; mother-in-law, Dorothy Shatteen; two goddaughters, Marilyn Artis and Tiyana (Deric) Cureton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Chapel of Johnson and Sons Funeral Home.
